Nina Adamowicz's heart was completely dependent on its pacemaker but last year she decided to turn off the device and die.

Before her death, she spoke to iPM about the many occasions when she felt she was dying and the pacemaker brought her back to life.

She explained why she wanted to be able to switch it off and explore "the other realm of life".
