Children's author Michael Rosen said the government was encouraging children to "demonstrate how democracy works".

But Laura Perrins from the Conservative Women website claimed it was a "rather sinister example of grooming and infiltrating a young child's mind".

They were talking to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn, and SNP MP John Nicolson, after the Corbyn-supporting campaign group Momentum set up an activity group for children, called Momentum Kids.
