Farron told: Take some effing refugees
The Lib Dem leader claimed the UK was seen as "mean and not pulling its weight" when it came to its role in the "biggest crisis facing our continent since the Second World War".
He recalled a visit to Lesbos, where a New Zealand aid worker shouted at him: "Stop handing out bottles of water, and take some effing refugees."
