Australia's Phillip Island attracts millions of tourists each year and hundreds of thousands come to see the Little penguins - the world's smallest penguin species.

For decades the population was dwindling, but work by Dr Peter Dann and the State government in the 1980s helped to restore the numbers.

The conservation work continues today through a not-for-profit organisation called Phillip Island Nature Parks.
