'The roof is leaking, the stonework is rotting'
MPs and peers may leave the Palace of Westminster for six years for renovations and repairs.
The recommendation comes from a committee which spent months considering what to do about the crumbling building - which is also a Unesco world heritage site.
Daily Politics reporter Mark Lobel heard from Lord Lisvane, the former House of Commons clerk, and Labour MP Meg Hillier who chairs the Public Accounts Committee, ahead of the full proposals being made public on Thursday afternoon.
