Juliet Stevenson on 'plight' of child migrants

A year ago, the world focused on the stark reality of the migrant crisis after a photo showed three-year-old Alan Kurdi lying face down on a beach.

He, his brother and mother died when the boat they were in sank as they tried to reach Greece, fleeing civil war in Syria.

But how much change did that picture make?

Actress and campaigner Juliet Stevenson has interviewed refugee children in Calais and told the programme: "We will be really ashamed of ourselves... if we did nothing as a country".

Syrian child refugee Mohammad Kassmou, 15, described his move to Germany - and not knowing whether his father was still alive.

And Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron called for the UK government to keep its promises.
