Mothers' pay lags far behind men's
The hourly gender pay gap increasingly widens year by year, after women become mothers, a report by the Institute for Fiscal Studies has said.
Joanna Gosling heard a range of views, including from Eleanor Wade - a woman who was involved in a successful equal pay claim - and senior equality lawyer Stefan Cross.
Nerissa Chesterfield from the Institute of Economic Affairs said the discrepancy was down to mothers reducing their hours, while Laura Hinton from accountancy firm PWC said there were too few women in top roles.
