Huntingdon's gold medallist Giles Scott first sailed at Grafham Water, with silver-winning windsurfer Nick Dempsey learning his trade at Ferry Meadows near Peterborough.
Jonathan Park meets Matt French, chief instructor at Grafham Water Sailing Club, and Theresa Wood, from the Nene Park Trust at Ferry Meadows.
