David Bryant, a retired firefighter from Dorset, spent nearly three years in jail after he was falsely accused of historic sexual abuse.
It was only after his wife Lynn hired a private detective, to prove his accuser was a serial liar, that the conviction was overturned.
Lynn told the programme that they briefly considered a double suicide, but then decided to work to free David.
