Rio de Janeiro's 'Battle of the Barbers'
The Battle of the Barbers (Batalha dos Barbeiros) is a competition where barbers compete to produce the best and artistic hair designs.
The founder of competition, Erica Nunes, says it has helped to improve people鈥檚 self-esteem and 鈥渟hift the focus away from the drug dealers鈥.
鈥淣ow those who control the favelas aren't the drug dealers but the dancers and the barbers," she adds.
