The Oxford Book Club - Alison Boulton - 28th June 2016

David is joined by local author and journalist Alison Boulton. They discuss premature reports of the death of (the very much alive) Carmac McCarthy, and the upcoming stage version of Antigona And Me by Oxford author, journalist and prize-winning poet Kate Clanchy.

After hearing Alison Macdonald talk about her inspiration for H Is For Hawk, Alison Boulton revisits The Goshawk by TH White - a "wonderful account of the slow and painful but immensely rewarding process of taming a wild bird".

Alison also reviews The Emperor by Ryzard Kapuscinski and The Examined Life by Stephen Grosz.
