'Political climate has changed immeasurably'
Labour needs a leader who can unite the party, and the country, says Andy Slaughter who has stepped down from Jeremy Corbyn's front bench team.
The MP said the majority of members, activists and councillors in his Hammersmith seat said it was time for a new leader.
When asked by Corbyn-supporter Paul Mason whether he sniggered at the leader in the Commons, the MP said he had been a friend of the leader for 30 years, and he "disapproved" of such behaviour.
They were speaking to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics, as a secret ballot on a motion of no confidence was underway.
