'Britain's loneliest dog' lands Hollywood role
Britain's loneliest dog has landed a role in a Hollywood blockbuster after languishing at a Merseyside animal shelter for six years.
The plight of Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Freya was spotted by director Michael Bay, who's now offered her a role in the next Transformers movie.
Bay also says he's prepared to take Freya in himself if she doesn't find a new home.
Elaine Chin, a trustee of the Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre, on Merseyside, said she the dog had "captured the heart" of Mr Bay, who tweeted: "Welcome to the cast Freya!"
