We head down Rio,as Brazil's most glamorous city prepares to host the Olympic Games. But the event is fraught with challenges - from an economic and a political crisis, to a health nightmare with the rise of the Zika virus. The Mayor tells us all will be well. But professor Andrew Zimbalist at Smith College in Massachusetts and author of Circus Maximus: The Economic Gamble Behind Hosting the Olympics and the World Cup, says that this year's problems offer just further proof that hosting set-piece events like the Olympic Games is hardly ever worth the money.
