Marvin Gaye play about a 'flawed character'
Roy Williams, the writer of the new play about Marvin Gaye - 'Soul' - says he was a "flawed character".
The new play has its world premi猫re at Northampton's Royal Theatre.
The play aims to tell the story of his early life and final days.
The soul legend was shot dead by his own father in 1984.
Mr Williams interviewed Gaye's two surviving sisters as part of his research.
