A white judge in South Africa has sparked a race row by appearing to suggest on social media that rape is part of black culture.

There have been calls for Mabel Jansen to step down after her comments were made public. She insists they were taken out of context.

The South African journalist and activist who exposed the remarks, Gillian Schutte, tells Shaun Ley why the judge's position is "untenable".
