Teamwork tested in major incident simulation

Teamwork was put to the test in an exercise involving medical and rescue crews from across the south.

Following an explosion on a building site, casualties were rescued from the collapsed rubble, treated on site and then transferred to the major trauma unit at University Hospital Southampton.

During the exercise, each service was able to watch and understand how each other works in an emergency situation.

Southampton is one of only two centres in the south of England that is able to offer a full range of specialist surgical, intensive care and supporting trauma services.

麻豆社 reporter Neil Sackley watched the exercise.
