Former DRC vice-president Jean-Pierre Bemba's trial for war crimes has begun in the Hague
The trail of former vice president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Pierre Bemba, for war crimes has begun at the International Criminal Court in the Hague. He denied charges that his rebel troops committed rape, murder and pillage against civilians in neighbouring Central AFrican Republic eight years ago.
