Ethiopian Elections

As Ethiopians vote in parliamentary elections, with the ruling party that toppled the former military regime still in power after two decades, some argue that democracy has yet to be realised - although others point to Ethiopia's growing economy as evidence that the opposite is true. The programme examines the situation.

Also on the programme: Sudan's first elected president Omar al-Bashir is sworn in. A Malawian gay couple are sentenced to 14 years of hard labour. Plus, the backlash to the 麻豆社 interview with Zambia's First Lady.
