Ipswich Museum 'mystery item' revealed
The latest item in 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk presenter Etholle George's series of "What's in the Box" has been revealed as a decorative circular shield, dating back to the 18th Century.
It's made of multiple materials, wood, metal and leather and is covered in paintings, with a thin spike on the front along with several smaller spikes.
It's possibly from Assam,and features a picture of the Hindu goddess Durga.
Items featured in the series come from Ipswich Museum's store of artefacts not usually on show to the public.
