The Vendee Globe is the ultimate solo yacht race. It's made household names out of many the likes of Mike Golding, Alex Thomson and most famous of all Dame Ellen MacArthur.

But the race has yet to be won by a British sailor. Nick Joyce is hoping to change that in 2020.

He is based in Cowes now, although he grew up in the Midlands. He told 麻豆社 Radio Solent's Neil Sackley how his interest in sailing started and about his campaign to compete in the Vendee Globe.
