Etholle George's third "what's in the box" item
The third item in the "what's in the box" series, launched by 麻豆社 Radio Suffolk presenter Etholle George, has been revealed, and it's by far the smallest item so far.
All of the treasures come from the artefacts store at Ipswich Museum, most of which have not been seen by the public for some time.
It's a gold and garnet bead, with 32 sub-divided squares of garnet. It's Anglo-Saxon, 6th or 7th Century, and it came from Rendlesham, one of 4,000 objects discovered there since 2008.
It's thought it could have been left behind by the goldsmith who made it.
