Amos Oz talks about his new book of literary criticism, The Story Begins: Essays on Literature. The winner of the first 拢30,000 Samuel Johnson prize for non-fiction is Stalingrad by Anthony Beevor. And the winner of the Meridian Books Tragic Love Story competition is Rotimi Babatunde in Nigeria. Plus, Indian author Anita Desai's latest book, Fasting, Feasting; Stranger than Fiction is a double CD of authors singing, including Amy Tan's cover of These Boots are Made for Walking, Stephen King singing Stand By Me and Jessica Mitford and Maya Angelou dueting; and the publication of Juneteenth, fashioned from the late Ralph Ellison's notes for a second novel.
