A review of the opening film of this year's Cannes film festival. The film was a new cut of Lawrence of Arabia directed by David Lean. Other films at the festival included New York Stories with Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen films also featuring. Also featured in the programme is the Soviet film The Commissar, which has been released from censorship. Guest: Film critic, Derek Malcolm.
