A theatrical fairy tale, the RSC in Stratford-Upon-Avon gets a new theatre. The RSC in Stratford-Upon-Avon commissioned a design and built a model for a new theatre which due to a lack of money, remained a dream until the summer of 1981. Artistic director Trevor Nunn tells the story and how a mystery fairy godfather helped the dream of the Swan Theatre come true.
