Ann's Story: Light at the End of the Tunnel
Diana Clews, Chairman of North Oxford Action Against Homelessness, offers Ann some help.
Ann is in her 50s. She's in employment. She works as a carer - looking after the elderly and those in their final weeks of life.
But Ann is on a zero-hour contract - and although she is earning a living she has been unable to find to somewhere to live - she doesn't have a deposit equivalent to 2 months' rent and she doesn't have a guaranteed income to cover the rent.
Ann is also diabetic - she uses insulin daily.
So to try and save money - Ann has been living in her car since October … she feels that this is her only option.
