Japan - youth crime
A report on Japan's youth crime wave
A report on Japan's youth crime wave. The programme features a meeting of 80 villagers who are discussing the increasing problem of youth crime. One woman tells of her son who was kicked and beaten to death but no trial was ever ordered or the killers prosecuted. Statistics would suggest that youth and violent crime is still lower than it was in the 1950s and 1960s.
