British Rock star Singer David Bowie has died at the age of 69 after suffering from cancer. He was one of the most influential musicians of his time. His representative said that Bowie died peacefully, surrounded by his family. Music journalist Jonathan Wingate has been reflecting on the singer's influence over the last few decades:
