The year in diplomacy: David Miliband & Nancy Soderberg
The year's ending with a rare outbreak of global agreement. First, 200 countries signed a deal on climate change that had eluded them for 20 years. Then the UN Security Council agreed a unanimous resolution on Syria. That's after nearly five years of mass murder and migration.
So what have been the biggest influences on world affairs this year - global chaos and terrorism or global diplomacy?
We review the highs and lows of world diplomacy with David Miliband, former Foreign Secretary, now running the International Rescue Committee; and Nancy Soderberg, former deputy National Security Adviser and Ambassador to the UN under President Clinton.
