From 1996, methyl chloroform and CFCs were banned to protect the ozone layer

From the beginning of 1996 chemicals such as methyl chloroform, chlorofluorocarbons have been banned in developed countries to protect the ozone layer.

Also on the programme the illegal trade in bear parts, particularly in Taiwan, and a report on how logging companies provide so little food to their workers that they are forced to eat bushmeat, putting great ape populations at risk in Cameroon and Zaire.
