Thomas Day and Sabrina Sidney
In 1769 Shrewsbury School was a Foundling Hospital, and it was from there that Thomas Day, a member of the Lunar Society, chose a twelve year old whom he named Sabrina Sidney, in order to train her to be his wife. Dr Kate Iles tells Jim the extraordinary details – and the story’s outcome.
