The British empire viewed by artists

A new exhibition has just opened at London's Tate Britain, called Artist and Empire, Facing Britain's Imperial Past. It's the first major show in Britain to survey the art of the British empire since British imperial rule around the world imploded in the decade after the Second World War. So, what does it tell us about 'the empire', which lasted for about four hundred years, and how it's perceived today? The 麻豆社's Dee Sebastian went along to meet the curator, Alison Smith.
