Ikea prepares for India launch
Foreign supermarkets are banned from running stores in India unless it is part of a joint venture. But businesses that only sell their own brand of products can apply to own 100% of their Indian operations.
Among the first to win that approval was Swedish furniture giant Ikea, which plans to open its first store in India in 2016.
Ikea already has factories making products in India, but what are its commitments to selling there? The 麻豆社's Shilpa Kannan met Ikea's global chief executive Peter Agnefjall.
