John Carpenter on Halloween

US director John Carpenter talks about the making of his 1978 slasher film Halloween, and reveals why he would have loved to have been a film-maker in the 1940s. Carpenter also directs Donald Pleasence on the set of Halloween. First broadcast on Arena in January 1979.
