Wambach 'instrumental' for Women's Football
One of Abby Wambach's former team-mates reacts to her retirement and reflects on her career.
Frankfurt midfielder Sophie Schmidt played with her at American side Magicjack, was coached by her for the same club and played against her in the Olympic games when Wambach's USA beat Canada 4-3 in the semi-finals.
Schmidt described Wambach as a "pioneer" and said she was an "inspiration for so many young girls".
