The DNDI aims to increase funding into the development of new drugs to treat sleeping sickness and leishmaniasis, diseases that often get overlooked when prioritising drug development. Also in the programme a look at how obstetric fistulas are avoidable with the right treatment. In South Africa a foster mother explains how foetal alcohol syndrome has affected a child in her care.
