Watson: Renault return 'good for Formula 1'
Five-time Grand Prix winner John Watson assesses Renault's plan to buy a controlling stake in Lotus F1 which would allow them to create a new Formula 1 team for 2016.
The former Lotus driver said he would be "happy to see Renault back in Formula 1" and told Steve Crossman that the manufacturer "will have a competitive engine for their own team".
Renault whose engine partnership with Red Bull appears to be coming to an end, say the move to buy the Lotus team represents the ambition to extend their 38-year involvement in F1.
