Supermen tackle Great North Run

Three friends have been running up the coast, calling at various RNLI stations over 440 miles before taking part in the race today.

That's a marathon a day for 17 days. They all live a matter of yards from a RNLI station and are raising money for the cause.

They say they've had injuries this year - Batman had shin splints. They were looking to raise 拢10,000 but have smashed that and are at 拢12,000.
