Before any professional building or construction work is carried out, a building contractor has to get a survey or assessment done to check for the presence of asbestos in the property, and get the work signed off by the Health and Safety executive.
But 麻豆社 Radio Guernsey has been told by a number of builders that in many cases this process isn't being followed, with people cutting corners in any attempt to keep costs down.
