More than a hundred and fifty islanders packed into Beau Sejour as Guernsey's Environment board debated the future of the old Green Acres site in St Martins.
After two and a half hours of discussion, the board approved the change of use plans to turn the old hotel into a specialist dementia care unit - subject to conditions.
