No turning back: Helen and Alison
Friends Helen and Alison discuss the point of no return. Helen has protested against Trident for decades and Alison works with refugees at Dungavel detention centre. She and her husband adopted their daughter Rima because she had arrived in the country with nobody, and Alison knew she had to take action to protect Rima's welfare. She and Rima have since managed to track down Rima's birth mother, so that bond is still there and very important to both of them.
