German business, which invests in many British industries including the BMW mini factory, is closely following the planned British referendum on staying in the EU. Markus Kerber of Germany's BDI business federation says it is a "necessity" for Britain to stay in the European Union. If not he says, "life would go on, but it would be a lot more difficult for both sides."
