David Hemsley brands departing Leicester Lions rider as "unprofessional"

Leicester Lions promoter David Hemsley has branded one their former riders as "unprofessional" following his departure from the club at the weekend.

It was announced on Saturday that Bjarne Pedersen had called time on his Leicester career but that it was a "tough decision" to leave and the reasoning would be "private."

The Dane was unveiled as one of the club's major new signings at the start of the Elite League season - but has ridden at an average of just 4.2 in his five meetings.

Pedersen missed Saturday's 48-42 defeat at Coventry as the Lions named a patched up side featuring Aaron Summers, Brady Kurtz and Steve Worrall as guest riders.

麻豆社 Radio Leicester has tried to contact Bjarne Pedersen for a response to this interview - but we've not received a reply.
