Defying the Nazis
The question of wartime resistance in the Channel Island of Guernsey remains a sensitive one.
Many individuals secretly spread news, fed slave workers, or hid weapons from their German occupiers. But were they just doing their bit, or endangering the safety of their fellow islanders?
An historic moment came this week when a plaque was unveiled recognising the actions of those who defied the Nazis, and in turn their own wartime administration.
