In this production from Teatr Doc – BerlusPutin – an actor playing President Putin wears a mask of Dobby the House Elf, a character from Harry Potter, in a play on the president’s apparent fondness for botox treatment. He also wears a rubber chest with rippling muscles – mimicking the naked torso which the real President regularly flaunts on Russian TV. Teatr Doc may be Russia's most radical and fearless drama collective but why has this small theatre, with fewer than 100 seats, proved such a thorn in the side of the authorities?
