Our correspondent in Johannesburg tells us that witnesses describe seeing a minibus full of men dropped off in the city centre to attack people. The British Government had to suspend a planned sale of bonds for a few hours today after the financial information system operated by Bloomberg suffered a glitch, putting it off line.
