Iraq Government Aims for Anbar
After securing Tikrit, Baghdad wants to recapture the mainly-Sunni province of Anbar. But its mainly-Shia forces won't find it easy to win hearts and minds, as well as territory.
After taking Tikrit, the Iraqi army is now setting out to recapture the difficult province of Anbar from so-called Islamic State. And, even though it is not doing it alone, its mainly-Shia forces will have problems winning over these Sunni heartlands.
