Why: "Not only has he written some of the most classic era-defining hits of the last 4 decades for himself, he also penned well-known songs for many other artists including Sinead O'Connor, The Bangles, Sheena Easton, Chaka Khan, amongst many other... The man is a genius and deserves a place in the Singers' Hall of Fame."
Indeed he does Lee. One of the most flamboyant characters we have had entered into the Singers' Hall of Fame... he really is, one of the greats.
