India cinema sets sights on smaller cities and towns
The Indian movie industry, or Bollywood, is the largest in the world. But the country has always been low on cinema screens, with people far more likely to watch films on television, DVD or more recently, online.
However, the number of cinemas in India is starting to grow - especially multiplexes - and not just in the big cities.
One of the firms expanding rapidly is the Carnival Group who are keen to focus on smaller towns.
The 麻豆社's Sameer Hashmi caught up with Carnival chairman Shrikant Bhasi to ask him why.
