Goat meat 'delicious' says farmer who isn't KIDDING around
There is a new drive to make goat and kid meat more popular. Britain is one of a few countries where goat is not widely eaten, but it makes up 10% of all meat consumption worldwide and three quarters of the global population eat it.
It is now starting to grow in popularity in the UK, with celebrity chefs putting it on their menus. One supermarket is also reportedly considering adding goat to its regular product lines.
There is a strong ethical reason for eating goat, baby male goats are currently killed because there is no current use for them.
Stephen Nolan spoke to goat meat producer James Whetlor who said he is interested in the ethical issue surrounding eating goats, currently baby male goats are killed because they are a by-product of milk and cheese production.
He continued to say that the other main reason to eat goat meat is that it is "delicious".
